Walk, Walk Walk these streets of love Walk, walk Walk these streets of love Believe in every step you take You can not afford to fake it Walk, walk Walk these streets of love Passerby, don’t pass me by Walk these streets of love beside me Walk, walk Walk these streets of love Walk Walk Walk Outside Its free, ya know, you don’t have to hide Walk Walk everyday Somehow we must find a way Find a way, find a way, find a way We are all one at the start of each day As darkness falls we are still that way Our enemies far, our loved ones near We are all one, this much is clear When the circle is closed, our lives are complete Souls in the heavens, bodies in the peat The good, the bad, the joyous, the sad We are all one, that’s all we have That’s all we have that’s all we have The wind is calling the children home Homeward, homeward, the children go Some go the wrong, some go the right Some turn to Jesus, some turn to fight The wind is calling the children home Homeward, homeward, the children g Some go the wrong, some go the right Some turn to Jesus, some turn to fight Some go the wrong, some go the right Some turn to Jesus, some turn to fight

Saw you this morning Right out by my window there Right out by my window Breathing in the morning air Every cloud I ever knew Every care I ever cared You make ‘em go away From my thoughts today In my thoughts today You were safe and you were warm You control my weather You’re my sun and you’re my storm You’re everything I need Just like yesterday You didn’t run away From my thoughts today I really love you You know you’ve got a lot of class I’ve got questions and I don’t know who to ask I listened to my Buddha and I read some more of Zen But every time I look at you You look the same again Saw you this morning Right out by my window there Right out by my window Breathing in the morning air Every cloud I ever knew Every care I ever cared You make ‘em go away From my thoughts today

I had a dream We raised the mountains higher We put back the wood We burned in our fires We separated whim from what was true desire Covered up our tracks And peace transpired Oh what a dream I had Oh what a dream I had I’m all alone out on the levee I was walkin’ home I wasn’t ready But the levee broke and suddenly peace was upon us And the ghosts that went before They kept us honest Now quiet is the sound Of a change in the East No lives are on the line No one bothered in the least No noisy celebration With our weapons of peace Men set boundaries at the table But no one came to the feast Oh what a dream I had Oh what a dream I had Now I’m all alone out on the levee I was walkin’ home I wasn’t ready But the levee broke and suddenly peace was upon us And the ghosts that went before They kept us honest I hope the ghosts that went before Keep us honest Now I had a dream We raised the mountains higher We put back the wood We burned in our fires We separated whim from what was true desire We covered up our tracks And peace transpired Oh what a dream I had Oh what a dream I had

Peace Comin' 03:53
Peace comin’, don’t know why Peace comin’ ‘neath a cloudy sky Peace comin’, don’t know when Peace comin’ in spite of them If all along, we knew the way It didn’t take long before we threw it away Where’s it all go when the people pray In one ear and out the other way Peace comin’, don’t know why Peace comin’ ‘neath a cloudy sky Peace comin’, don’t know where Peace comin’, everybody’s scared Promises that peace would come And we wouldn’t have to wait ‘til all the oil was done Who’d a thought we were built that way Remember one thing and let the other get away Peace comin’, don’t know why Peace comin’ ‘neath a cloudy sky Peace comin’, don’t know how Peace comin’ and it’s comin’ now The season of peace runs 24/7 3-6-5 and on into the heavens Leavin’ in the morning, flyin’ with the best Hope we get in with some heaven left Peace comin’, don’t know why Peace comin’ ‘neath a cloudy sky Peace comin’, might as well Peace comin’ can’t really tell Peace comin

They say that I have come for you with a message from afar On words that can’t be written, voices spoken from the heart On echos that ring louder than a musket shot They say that I have come for you but Molly I think not Your family asks about religion, what manner of God I know That could keep me on this open road, Molly I don’t know They ask if I keep Jesus deep within my soul You say it shouldn’t matter, but Molly, I think so She brushed against his amber mane and something did feel wrong. No sign of the future in the sound of his song A single red hair on her linen lay And she asked the wind gently not to blow it away Molly, many will come and go but you’re in my epilogue Like land is to a sailor through a lifting fog I will always be a rogue, Molly, always seem unkind There’s no road I’ve yet to travel, and no heart I’ve left behind She brushed against his amber mane and something did feel wrong. No sign of the future in the sound of his song A single red hair on her linen lay And she asked the wind gently not to blow it away

Trapped 04:55
I know that there’s a name for this patch of greenery This not so vast last stand that mingles with the understory For me its just a memory I remember when I had it And it seems cruel to be this close and stuck in traffic The monsters moved out from under my bed But they are still there, still in my head I won’t be free, it isn’t fair Until the pills up in the cabinet don’t bother me there Theres a brave cat out there, strong but relatively small Like a scared mountain lion, trapped in suburban sprawl While doe-eyed humans stare stupid at the sound Not wanting to admit it but mowing everything down The monsters moved out from under my bed But they are still there, still in my head I won’t be free, it isn’t fair Until the pills up in the cabinet don’t bother me there We don’t like the thought of this growth all around No better than the one of our friends leaving town We chase them away or if they stay then we rob them Thinking like this and won’t solve the problem I know I am a good man, I heard it from my brothers But the world is a better place on the strength of others Strengths I do not have, lives I have not lead Eyes I do not use to see the vision up ahead The monsters moved out from under my bed But they are still there, still in my head I won’t be free, it isn’t fair Until the pills up in the cabinet don’t bother me there

Sanctions 04:36
I am half out of mind, half of the time and what the other half knows Ain’t enough you say, as you be runnin away The way it used to be, one look at you and it would all go away The push and the shove, I’d write it all off to love Lets bring love up on sanctions for cheating, drugs and shame we all hate the players but we love the game and when its all said and done and the moon is aligned you will turn and run, or you will turn and love me one more time I’ll put the stars at your feet, it ain’t fair but I’ll cheat Pay attention to me. I ain’t doing this for my health, or the heath of someone else The good and the bad, there nothing we had that we could ever retain Not even memories of our past, because it hurts too much to laugh Lets bring love up on sanctions for cheating, drugs and shame we all hate the players but we love the game and when its all said and done and the moon is aligned you will turn and run, or you will turn and love me one more time

Do you ever wonder what’s happenin’ over there People dancing naked in the streets, people breathin’ different air I can feel a rumbling,’ time to take my leave too little room for error, and not enough room to breath There goes a train, I should be on that thing The iron horse is leavin’ town and it’s taking with it everything You cheat, you lie, your reputation on the line, want to change the way its goin’ reconciliation on your mind, but that ain’t the cards you’re showin’ Don’t have to talk to each other like you never even met before He did it, she did it, nobody keepin’ score There goes a train, I should be on that thing The iron horse is leavin’ town and it’s taking with it everything Gimmee, gimmee, gimmee, gimmee, swallow without even chewin’ Remember to give something back, don’t leave it to your kids to do it Not a lot of give and take, everything is easy here most people have all they need, most of us bored to tears Can’t decide if we want to ride, or maybe just disappear Pardon me but its part of me, I have to leave, maybe I’ll be seein’ ya. There goes a train, I should be on that thing The iron horse is leavin’ town and it’s taking with it everything

The view’s pretty good through the bars on the sill He can see clearly all the dreams that he killed but he won’t know til later, after he’s free Who he robbed was his wife and the kids that she feeds but she had some help from an unlikely source never knew any names, couldn’t see them of course and after changing her world on the brink did the angels just go home and drink No one saw the big wind til the Levees all broke some got there fast, some got there real slow some sat on the sidewalk and blamed Uncle Sam but time left for that was time to lend a hand They flew in on choppers and they rode in on boats They hovered on wings, where hearts sank they could float They just do what they do, they don’t have to think and then they angels just go home and drink Who are these people with wings we can’t see where do they come from and how do they come to be and after changing a world on the brink do the angels just go home and drink Our soldiers are weary, they can hardly keep pace forever front and center on the world stage the things some will do just to save face lets bring them all home and get out of that place And if you knew one or know one did you take them aside and thank them for doing what’s burned in their eyes knowing it all could be gone in a blink Do the angels just go home and drink Who are these people with wings we can’t see where do they come from and how do they come to be and after changing a world on the brink do the angels just go home and drink

I am just a poor boy My story’s yet untold I pride myself in numbers Of years out on the road I’ve been a whore I’ve been ashore Searching for the gold And I’ll split the serpents tongue as my story does unfold And I am just a loner, a poor boy on my own I use my head and not my heart and soul My father was a carpenter My mother was a maid They barely made a living And yet they had it made But people blamed their poverty That I should turn out wrong They could have been the royalty And I’d still sing this song And I am just a loner, poor boy on my own I used my head instead of heart and soul I was on a bright road Then I changed my mind And I rode into the darkness to a place I hoped to find Where people lived with luxury No one had to crawl Unknown to my empty head I was bound to fall and I am just a loner, poor boy on my own I used my head and not my heart and soul Mistakes were really all I made All that came my way How many more mistakes before I’m finally waylaid I should have been a carpenter Paw would have been proud I’ve built a wall so tall around me, now I can’t get out And I am just a loner, poor boy on my own I use my head instead of heart and soul They tell me it was God Who put these perils in my path So I prayed to him a hundred times To kindly take them back And as I drink each sober thought Fades into the past Til there’s nothing but the spittle In the bottom of the glass And I am just a loner, poor boy on my own I use my head instead of heart and soul

Well winter is behind us Just three more months til June The rain it is a falling And I recognize the tune It’s springtime in this northern clime Everything’s awake The frogs a Tintinnabulum And the loons upon the lake The rain gives way to stillness And a heat that’s not unkind If you muse out in the meadow With nothing on your mind Soon you will be fast asleep And no one gives a darn Till she finds you lying all alone And wraps you in her arms There’s a field that rolls away And in its shadow lies a lake In mind different people On different days I’d like to take But only one comes forward From the meadow long ago And we go wandering round the seasons So fast they seem to go Well you can hear the changing of the leaves From green to red to brown You can feel the smell of autumn As it lays there on the ground Fall has been so fine for me My memories are pure And with winter bearing down on us We manage to endure Jack Frost has no conscience We would never get along December dim and sour faced And the nights so cold and long But if war is in these roses There’s peace within these squalls The seasons all have passed And I confess to live them all There’s a field that rolls away And in its shadow lies a lake In mind different people On different days I’d like to take But only one comes forward From the meadow long ago And we go wandering round the seasons So fast they seem to go We go wandering round the seasons So fast they seem to go

Wade in the water, Wade in the water, wade in the water We’s all gonna trouble the water We got social inequality in the information age We got educated people rotting in the cage We pander to plutonium, baby it’s the rage Lets take out all their bridges, and make the children wade Wade in the water, Wade in the water, wade in the water We’s all gonna trouble the water See that empty player with his book of empty plays His locker room remodeled like the bank on b roadway Forget about the petrol, can’t afford it anyway I park my Prius in the park and get back on my bay Wade in the water, Wade in the water, wade in the water We’s all gonna trouble the water We got feckless politicians make decisions just for fun And they’re sending in the ground troops and they’ve taken planet one. Maybe it’s the half of me that hasn’t come undone But I don’t see the humor, Mother Nature’s on the run Wade in the water, Wade in the water, wade in the water We’s all gonna trouble the water Well, they talking about Peter and they mentioning Paul But they not on my TV, and I don’t read at all I never saw it coming, that storm that smoked the air Lights out at the Pentagon, no power anywhere Wade in the water, Wade in the water, wade in the water We’s all gonna trouble the water
